Native Wildflower Postcard: White Petaled Ladies' Slipper
In the 19th century, amateur naturalists preserved their botanical specimens in herbarium collections. Pressed flat and carefully labeled, they served as aids in identifying different species and cultivars. This card features one of the Midwestern US's rare wild orchids: the white-petaled lady's slipper (or "ladies' slipper," as it was sometimes written at the time.
Cards measure 4" x 6" and can be sent via the US postal service with a standard postcard stamp.
