Native Wildflower Postcard: Marsh Marigold
In the 19th century, amateur naturalists preserved their botanical specimens in herbarium collections. Pressed flat and carefully labeled, they served as aids in identifying different species and cultivars. This card features Marsh Marigold, a wildflower native to the Midwestern US. Despite its name, this water-loving flower is not a marigold at all, but a member of the buttercup family.
Cards measure 4" x 6" and can be sent via the US postal service with a standard postcard stamp.
