Native Wildflower Postcard: Butterflyweed
In the 19th century, amateur naturalists preserved their botanical specimens in herbarium collections. Pressed flat and carefully labeled, they served as aids in identifying different species and cultivars. This card features Butterflyweed, a wildflower native to the Midwestern US and one of several varieties of milkweed, a favorite of butterflies and other pollinators.
Cards measure 4" x 6" and can be sent via the US postal service with a standard postcard stamp.
