White Petaled Ladies' Slipper Herbarium Specimen Notecard

White Petaled Ladies' Slipper Herbarium Specimen Notecard

SKU: NC-2007

In the 19th century, amateur naturalists preserved their botanical specimens in herbarium collections.  Pressed flat and carefully labeled, they served as aids in identifying different species and cultivars.   This card features Nodding Onion, a wildflower native to the Midwestern US and unusual among alliums for its drooping flower clusters.

Inspired by the herbarium collection of Honoria Fen, these A2 note cards measure 4.24" x 5.5" and are blank on the inside, ready to receive your messages.  Each card comes with a gummed, kraft paper envelope in the European style, featuring a pointed flap ideal for use with a wax seal or decorative sticker.

Choose from:

A single card and envelope packaged in a home-compostable natural cellophane sleeve to keep it pristine until use.

A boxed set of eight cards and eight envelopes packaged in a recyclable or compostable kraft box.
