Bare Bones Chameleon Sticker

SKU: FS-0023

Specimen collection was an integral--and sometimes problematic--element of 19th century naturalistic studies.  Western museums are filled with the remains of plants and animals collected by "explorers" out to categorize the world.  Most of these specimens, unfortunately, were not shipped back alive, while those that were often perished in transit.  Taxidermied specimens and re-articulated skeletons thus became a frequent feature of collections both public and private, and while their sourcing may be questionable, many have served as an invaluable source of information about not only the physiology of these creatures, but also the ways in which their habitats and home ranges have changed in the centuries since.

This sticker measures roughly 3 x 1.5 inches and is die-cut to minimize extra material. These are professionally printed on high quality, UV resistant laminate, so they can be applied indoors or out. They are heat and water resistant and dishwasher safe.
